Great news for availability of horse medicines: essential list adopted!
The FEEVA Board is very happy to inform you that the long awaited extension of the horse list is adopted and published in the Official Journal. This Regulation will greatly increase the availability of horse medicines which practitioners can use. The regulation allows a long list of substances to be used in horses for specific indications. A withdrawal period of not less than 6 months should be respected and details of the treatment have to be recorded in Section IX of the horse passport. The Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
